Hello, and thank you for exploring this site. I created Portland Solutions to provide businesses with flexible, experienced and personable organisational design and facilitation solutions that make a real difference to performance outcomes.

My experience extends for more than 20 years across Australia and overseas in People and Culture functions, leading work that connects leadership, organisational development and culture to business strategy, brand voice and performance. This is the work that I love to do. My experience includes some of the most recognised brands across industries as diverse as healthcare, financial services, retail, aged care, professional services, oil and gas, and government enterprises.
I have a diverse and extensive background in facilitating the connection between strategy, leadership and workplace culture in many different contexts. A close alignment between these three key organisational pillars I believe maximises the potential for high performance and achieving aspirational objectives.

I have also completed valuable work in the measurement and development of interventions to build staff culture, engagement, resilience and wellbeing, and understands the key drivers of performance and achievement. I have conducted primary research into the impacts of individual financial awareness and capability, and separately, how changes to a person's health impacts on their broader wellbeing, and further, on business outcomes such as productivity, performance and absenteeism. This gives me a great background to understand how we can activate people to contribute their best. I enjoy and believe in the concepts of adaptive leadership, and combine this with positive psychology practices. My objective is to make is easy and stimulating for leaders to positively impact on the culture of their teams, and to support staff in engaging with the organisational purpose and values.
As a facilitator and agent for change, (I hear) I am warm, personable, and able to make sense of complex concepts for participants and stakeholders. I am very honoured to be trained and accredited in cultural competence with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and am experienced in working with a diverse range of peoples in the community.
I enjoy coaching with emerging, experienced and senior leaders, and I am accredited in the Hogan suite of personality-based assessment inventories, Human Synergistics' LSI and GSI, DiSC, Motivators and the Emotional Quotient tool.
